Building relationships. Strengthening our community.
Our mission is to encourage friendship within our neighborhood, provide civic and social welfare to the community, and elevate the cultural and intellectual pursuits of members in the interest of a higher standard of citizenship.
Friendship
Membership consists of women, ages 21 and older, who are residents of the Museum District. Our current members range from single women in their 20s to grandmothers in their 60s.
We welcome all women and encourage diversity in our membership.
Social
Members join together on the third Wednesday of each month. Each monthly meeting features a guest speaker on a specific topic or theme, and also has plenty of time for catching up, meeting new people and learning something new.
We invite you to join us and see what we are all about!
Civic Involvement
Some members have taken on causes with special meaning to them including John B. Cary Elementary School, Family Lifeline, the Belmont Public Library, and Gateway to the Museum District. While the MDWC encourages volunteering, it is not a requirement of membership.
We invite new ideas and causes that are important to you!
